To meet this pressing need for centralization and efficiency, JAK Solutions designed Cobria, an all-in-one app built specifically for construction professionals.
Developed by a team of 10, Cobria automates and simplifies essential daily tasks through a highly intuitive interface, powerful features, and an integrated AI assistant, Max, to support users at every step.
Challenges
One of the main challenges was to design a comprehensive application without making it complex.
Construction professionals need a simple, quick-to-learn tool they can use on-site, without prior training.
We had to create something powerful yet accessible, capable of handling a wide variety of real-world cases (VAT, discounts, signatures, reminders, translations, etc.) while remaining fluid.
Another major challenge: delivering a mobile-first experience with seamless synchronization between team members and devices.
Finally, integrating an AI that genuinely saves time — not just "suggests" — was a key technological goal we had to achieve.
Solutions
We adopted a user-centered approach, co-designing the interface with real tradespeople and business owners.
Every feature — from quote creation to team planning — was designed to minimize clicks and cognitive load.
We built a smart quoting system, capable of generating complete quotes in seconds thanks to Max, our AI assistant, who learns from the user’s habits to automatically suggest services, fill in lines, calculate totals, and generate ready-to-sign documents.
Invoicing is done in one click, with automated numbering, VAT handling, and reminders.
A shared visual calendar allows users to drag and drop appointments and tasks, with automatic reminders for all stakeholders.
Lastly, we designed a robust architecture to ensure smooth performance across all devices — even on the go.
Impact
Cobria is now a complete tool, used daily by independent contractors and construction professionals.
It helps them drastically reduce the time spent on admin, secure their payments, and gain visibility on their ongoing projects.
With Max, their new AI assistant, users stay responsive and can focus on what they do best.
