Introduction
Protéine aimed to build a web tool allowing its staff to apply for upcoming events. The application had to be simple, responsive, connected to the existing FileMaker database, and capable of evolving over time.
Challenges
The app needed to filter events based on specific criteria (skills, availability), manage account creation with email validation, and ensure every user action synced properly with FileMaker. The application process had to support two-way interactions (candidate → manager → response).
Solutions
A responsive website was developed with:
- Email-based authentication
- Event listing filtered by user criteria
- Direct application with acceptance/refusal feedback
- Event history and editable user profiles
The system is fully synced with FileMaker, and the architecture allows for easy expansion of features.
Impact
Staff can now apply independently from any device. All information is centralized, applications are tracked, and HR teams at Protéine have a clear view of availability and preferences. A major gain in autonomy and operational efficiency.
